3/35.- Venice, Canal Grande

Since horses were forbidden in Venice (1392), the access, the activity and even relationships take place on the water. In Venice there are no big avenues nor streets. You’ll only find small streets and squares here. This is what makes this city so special. There are other cities with canals in the world, but there’s no other where all communication is exclusively made through its water canals.
