44/50.- Arsameia, basorelief showing Antiochus I shaking hands with Herakles

Arsameia development project belongs to Nemrut National Park and is one of our stops on the way to Kahta. Among the works of art you can find at Arsameia is the largest and oldest inscription of Anatolia written in Ancient Greek and placed in front of the relief showing Antiochus I shaking hands with Herakles. This relief and inscription are placed at the entrance to the temple of Mithridates Kallinikos. Just beneath it there is a tunnel of 158 meters going deep into the mountain.
