And after some time under the sun it is time to fill our stomachs. One of the stars of the local cuisine is the 'Paella' (= pan in Catalan). This course has its origins in Valencia. Nowadays you find it throughout the Coast of Spain. The 'paella' is a rice course with Mediterranean sea food (lobsters, clams, mussels) and vegetables.
Other local specialties are the 'fideua' --sea food noodles-- and the 'arros negre' (=black rice) --rice with cuttlefish ink.
