3/19.- Toledo, Cathedral tower

In other Spanish territories when the Catholic troops conquered a territory, they expelled the Jewish and Muslims inhabitants. This was not the case in Toledo. There was an agreement made and the non-Catholic citizens could stay. This mixture of cultures allowed the formation of one of the most important language schools in the Middle Ages, The Toledo Translators School. In addition, the blend of cultures provides unique architectural vistas throughout the city.
