23/28.- Tarifa, Playa Valdevaqueros, windsurf

Valdevaqueros also draws windsurfing enthusiasts. Of the two types of winds that usually blow in Tarifa, Poniente and Levante, the one that is more convenient to practice windsurf is Levante.

Levante (from the East) is usually stronger, between 5 and 6 in the Beaufort scale, and blows from land to sea. Perfect for widnsurfers and skilled kite surfers, but not appropriate for beginners (they may end up in Africa!)
