20/28.- Tarifa, Playa de los Lances, kite surfers

Los Lances beach in Tarifa, with strong winds that blow almost every day all year, is one of the best beaches in the world to practice kite surf.

Some years ago kite surf could be practiced anywhere in los Lances Beach, even in Summer, but local authorities limited the area where water sports can practiced during the high season (July, August and September). Buoys in the water and poles in the sand mark the area where you are allowed to kite surf.

Although the area can get somewhat busy, as you can see in the picture, Los Lances is still a perfect place to kite surf.
