23.- Sitges, Casa Bartomeu Carbonell i Mussons

Now that you know what the Sitges night is like, it is time to know more things about the magnificent past of this town.

As I told you before, many of the sailors of Sitges who went to America, stayed there. Some of them came back home years later with big fortunes. They had the money, and they wanted to show it off. That is why they built incredible houses like the one in the picture.

This house is called the "Bartomeu Carbonell i Mussons" House. This a typical Modern Style house. It was designed by the Catalan architect Ignasi Mas i Morell in 1913. This building sits in the Main Street ("Carrer Major"). It won't be difficult for you to find it. Unfortunately it cannot be visited.
