1/20.- Welcome to Santiago de Compostela !!!

Welcome to Santiago (Galicia, Northwest Spain), the city where, according to a legend, the remains of the apostle Saint James were found. Nowadays Santiago is the second Catholic Pilgrimage center, after Rome.

Since the 12th century, when the Cathedral you see in the picture was built, thousands of Pilgrims have completed the pilgrimage to this city, among others Francis of Assisi, pope John Paul II and Shirley MacLaine.

We are now in front of the Cathedral’s main facade. If you come with me I will show some of the most interesting sights in Santiago, and explain you everything you need to know about this Pilgrim’s Progress, or "Camino de Santiago".
