19/42.- Rome, The Vatican, San Pietro Square
virtual picture
The photo was taken in the center of Saint
Peter's Square.
When the panorama is fully downloaded you'll see
in front of us the Basilica. You can use the Zoom
In tool (+) to take a closer look at the church
facade. If you click and drag your mouse to the
right you'll see the building where the Pope
usually salutes the public congregated on this
square. More at your righ you'll see the center of
the square (yep, where the group of people is).
More at your righ you'll see the avenue that goes
to Rome (we now have the basilica at our back), at
the end of this avenue there's the river and a
bridge. More at our righ you'll see more columns
(what a great view, isn't it?) and a fountain. If
you keep moving righ you'll see the basilica again.
Amazing isn't it? Now you can say you've 'almost'
been to the Vatican. I hope you enjoyed this
panorama.
