40/50.- Ocna Sugatag, market day

Each day of the week there is a market in one of the villages in Maramures where you can see a diplay of fresh homegrown produce, household items, ceramic, animals being sold, local cheeses, natural honey together with carved wooden utensils, grains and flour, cow bells, clothes, footwear, music on CDs. We visited two of these markets, a regular weekday market and a cattle market where cows and sheep, swine and horses where waiting sometimes for a whole morning to find a new owner.
