14/50.- Desesti, frescoes by Radu Munteanu

The walls of the narthex are painted with scenes from the Last Judgement. The main characters depicted are Turks, Tartars and Germans reflecting the historical reality of Maramures at that time. The painted surface of the walls is separated in registries by stripes of spindles decorated with vegetal motifs.
