27/43.- Prague,
Mánesuv Most
The river Vltava
has given life to the city of Prague since always. First
the river made possible the transport, fishing, and many
other activities. Later with the developing of new
techniques, new activities took place: saw-mills,
grinding mills, paper works, etc. But the river also
caused many problems. Floods were periodic before the
construction of the embankments. The river was not fully
navigable till 1920.
We will cross the
river, walk Karlova Street along and visit the Klaster Na
Slovanech.
