23/43.- Prague, Strahovsky Kláster

The Strahov Abbey (Strahovsky Kláster) was founded in 1140 by Vladislav II. The building was remodeled in 1682-1698 in a Baroque style. In the Strahov Abbey there’s an interesting Museum of National Literature, the Strahov picture Gallery (with works from the Gothic to the Romanticism periods), and the Philosophical and Theological Halls, with more than 130 thousand volumes --some of which are very valuable manuscripts and incunabili.
