According to the Catholic legend, St. Jan Nepomucky was tossed from this bridge,
because he didnt want to betray queen Zofie,
when king Václav IV suspected of her
extramarital activities. This is the oldest statute
on the bridge, it was cast by J.W. Herold in 1683.
Can you see the womans hand on the base of
the statue? A tradition says it brings good luck.
