19/36.- Porto, "Igreja dos Carmelitas"

Not far from where we were, is this Baroque Style Church. It is the "Igreja dos Carmelitas", a 17th century work.

One of the famous Porto Citizens was Pero Vaz de Caminha, the official author of the report of the journey to Brazil in 1500, the well-known Carta da Descoberta do Brasil. He was requested by the King to follow the expedition of Pedro Álvares Cabral.

At our back we have one of the most famous monuments in Porto ... the "Igreja dos Clérigos".
