25/27.- Padua, commercial street

We will now take a look at the 'Musei Civici Eremitani', where you can admire the Eremitani (an Augusthinian religious suborder) "Mantegna Frescoes" (1454-1457). Unluckily only part of them survived a Second World War air raid. Mantegna, who was only 17 when he began working in Padua, could have been one of the masters of all times if he had not died in a street fight.
