22/33.- Orleans, Sainte Croix Catherdal

Well, it is time to go back to the Cathedral. The Sainte-Croix Cathedral is not only one of the biggest ones in France, but one of the most beautiful also. The first Cathedral in Orleans was constructed in the 16th century, when Henri IV ordered to reconstruct the old cathedral destroyed during the religion wars. This old cathedral had been constructed a couple of centuries before to replace the one constructed in the 13th century. But this latter one was not the first Cathedral in town, the first one was built in the 7th century and was destroyed at the end of the 10th century.
