9/25.- Montserrat, grave of Joan d'Arago
In this photo you can see the grave of Joan d'Aragó, son
of Pere el Cerimonios. He was king of the Catalan Crown in the 14th
century.
In the monastery of Montserrat you will find works of art of some
of the most famous Catalan artists. In the cloister there are sculptures
of Josep Clara and Frederic Mares. In the apse, built by Villar i
Carmona with Antoni Gaudi's collaboration, there are paintings of
Joan Llimona. Some of the nearby rooms were decorated by Obiols. Two
of the most famous rooms inside the monastery are the Gothic Cloister
and the Neo-Romantic Cloister, a work of Puig i Cadafalch.
