25/25.- Malta, Cave view of Mediterranean from the Blue Grotto

The Maltese islands have a significant number of natural caves which were once inhabited by fishermen. The Maltese expression "X'ghar u kasa" means "cave house" as well as primitive, rude person. Here is my favorite picture a view of the Mediterranean from the Blue Grotto. I am particularly fond of this image as I think captured the spirit of Malta: a Cyclopean eye open into eternity.
