12/25.- Malta, Mosta Dome II

Mosta Dome is shown here boasting the architectural gradeur of its 67m high cupola, neo-classic facade with ionic columns inspired y Rome's Pantheon.

Mosta Dome is the fourth largest basilica in the world after St. Peter in Rome, St. Paul in London and Sta. Sophia in Istanbul.

I took these pictures with the occasion of the feast of the Assumption, August 15. Santa Marija, the holy patron of Mosta, is one of the glorious festas of the islands.
