32/39.- Mallorca, Sóller,
Church
High mountains have
isolated Sóller by land for centuries. In 1912 an
electric train connected Sóller with the city of
Mallorca, until then the only possible communication with
the capital of the island was by sea. This train still
exists and is one of the main attractions of this
village: "Es Tren de Sóller".
Youre seeing
a photo of the church of Sóller, called "Esglèsia
de Sant Bartomeu". This church was constructed between
the 16th and 18th centuries, the current facade was added
in 1904.
