30/39.- Mallorca, Sa Foradada

The 'Punta de Sa Foradada' is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Mallorca. The name of the place is a reference to the rock you can see in this photo ('Foradada' = with a hole). This cape is in the Deia (our next visit) district, in 'Son Morroig'.

'Son Morroig' is the name of the property the archduke Lluis Salvador d’Habsburg-Lorena had on the island. The 'Son Morroig' house is currently a museum The strong winds that blow here (Tramuntana) are probably the cause of the hole in the rock.
