46/46.- Madrid, Puerta del Sol

The 'Puerta del Sol' is famous because on New Year's Eve, locals meet here to eat one grape with each of the twelve clock's strokes. The tradition says that if you are able to finish the twelve grapes before the last stroke you will have good luck in the following months.

Well, this is it. We’ll finish our Madrid Photographic Tour here. I hope you enjoyed the Tour. If you ever come to Madrid you can do a one day excursion to "El Escorial", a complex that includes a monastery, two palaces a church, two pantheons and many other artistic treasuries in a village not far from Madrid called "San Lorenzo". You can also visit Toledo, the former Capital of the Spanish Crown.
