34/43.- Lyon, Lumiere brothers memorial

In front of the "Institut Lumiere" there is this monument that commemorates the invention of the "Cinematographer". The work of the Lumiere brothers did not stop with the invention of this device. Soon after its invention, Louis and Auguste Lumiere traveled around the world to film new pictures. At the end of their career, they had filmed more than 1,400 pictures, and had developed many new filming techniques, some of which are still used today.
