19/24.- Odysseus Figurine, Delphi Museum, Greece

Here we see a small figurine from the 6th century BCE depicting Odysseus tied to the belly of aram to escape the cyclops, Polyphemus, in a scene out of "The Odyssey." It's amazing to think that the tales of Homer were not only popular in ancient Greece, but were centuries old eventhen!
