12/24.- Stadium, Delphi, Greece

Further uphill from the theater is the Stadium, site of the quadrennial Pythian Games. It was originally built by the Greeks, but renovated substantially in the 2d century by the Romans. The track is almost 200 yards long and is flanked by limestone grandstands with sufficient seating for about 7,000. Now let's leave the Delphi archeological site and walk to the nearby museum.
