29/45.- Athens, National Archeological Museum, Cycladic Figurines

The museum has a nice collection of Cycladic figurines, dating to around 2500 BCE. These simple, almost abstract, white marble figurines bear a striking resemblance to modern art.

Athens actually has an entire separate museum devoted to Cycladic Art, but the collection here is certainly enough to give you a good taste of it.
