26.- Glasgow, Granny Black's

Nice wee old pub! Unfortunately, Grannie Black’s has since been demolished. This makes this photo even more special.

Forget what you may have heard about British food being bland. Glasgow is full of smashing places to eat. Cranberry’s is nearby. DELICIOUS desserts. The Irish Pub on St. Vincent Street offers grand fare. Highly recommend the smoked haddock pie and lasagna.

By the way the buildings surrounding Granny Black's are great to visit. This is the Merchant City part of Glasgow. Some places to visit are the Italian Center, Hutcheson's Hall, the Corinthian, the Gallery of Modern Art. The church you can see beyond Granny Black's is called Ramshorn Kirk. It is now used as a theater by Strathclyde University. Interesting cemetery at the back of the church.
