You can see here 'Santa Croce' (at your right), the National Library (in the middle) and the 'Duomo' (at you left).

To get here from Florence center you can either walk (cross the 'Ponte Vecchio', take a left, walk through the 'Piazza' and fork right up Via de Bardi and follow uphill as it becomes Via del Monte alle Croci) or take the bus number 13 and get off when you see the David sculpture (it’s not possible to get lost, I promise)
