On the way to the synagogue sits the 'Pietra Piana'. In front of this monument there is a flea market, where you can buy old things and traditional objects. Other famous markets in Florence are: 'Piazza Mercato Nuovo,' near Piazza Signoria, where you’ll find leather articles (Jackets, wallets, etc) and straw objects (hats); 'La Galleria', in front of the Central Market; and the 'Galleria Santa Maria Novella', an underground passage with records shops kiosks and cloths shops.
