A narrow path, the Sentier Côtier (originally the path followed by customs officers trying to catch smugglers) allows the tourist to hike (or bike) all around the peninsula. The walk around the peninsula takes three days, with stops in specially arranged hostels (gîtes). The hike gives the tourist breathtaking views on the sea and the cliffs.
The color of the sea in this picture has not been artificially enhanced. The photograph was taken on a bright day, when sunshine and the sandy bottom of the sea combine to give it this surprising azure shade.
