1/38.- Welcome to Ceske Budejovice!!!
Welcome to Ceské Budejovice, in South
Bohemia (Czech Republic). The city is also known as
Budweis --the name in German, used in the 19th
century. Ceské Budejovice is famous for its
Renaissance and Baroque Buildings, for the biggest
square in the Czech Republic (and one of the most
beautiful ones in this country, I would add) and
for its local beer: Budvar. This local beer, also
known as Budweiser, inspired the name of the
American Beer Budweiser, but they taste completely
different. Much better the Czech one, believe
me.

If youre interested in this city --or if
you have some time and dont know what to do
with it-- come with me, and I will show you all the
beauties of this wonderful city. We will begin the
tour with this sky view of the Otakar II Square
(Námesti Otakara II). Can you see the blue
building at the top right? Thats the Town
Hall, a nice construction. Lets take a closer
look at it ...
