13/50.- Brussels, Porte de Namur
The Porte de Namur, named for a former gate in the city walls, is now marked
by a tall stainless steel structure. This is where three sections of the
upper town meet: the fashionable Toison d'Or Avenue with its hotels, shops
and cinemas, Matongué with its African shops and nighlife, and the royal
quarter with its palace, park and other institutions.
