1/38.- Balaruc, Bell Tower

Hello, and welcome to Balaruc-le-Vieux, a small town in the Languedoc region in the South of France. It is built on a promontory overlooking, one one side, the Etang de Thau, and on the other, the Gardiole mountain range. In its centre stands Saint Maurice's church with its typical wall-shaped bell tower. The castle used to have its own separate chapel, dedicated to Saint Martin; but only parts of it remain. Balaruc-le-Vieux is the site of an annual medieval festival, in which this site invites you to take part. So here we go!
