Villeneuve Lez Avignon, Tour Philippe Le Bel
This beautiful tower was constructed in the 13th century by Philippe
the Fair. It served to control the access to the Avignon bridge and
as gateway to the kingdom of France.
It is possible to climb to the top, where intrepid visitors will
enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes of the region. Climbing
is not recommended for the faint at heart, though.
