Mulhouse, the southernmost city in Alsace, is known as the "French Manchester" because of its flourishing industry, famous, notably, for its printed fabric, celebrated in its famous museum.  

Other highlights of the town are its automobile and railroad museums.

St. Stephan's Temple, shown here, is famous for its stained-glass windows.
