| 3/46.- Alsace, Hunspach, window panes
The dialect spoken in Alsace is a surprising mixture of German
            and French,
difficult to undertand for outsiders. In Hunspach, messages from the
            local
government are still conveyed to the population by a town crier on
            his
bike, armed with a bell, in the local parlance. The villagers of Hunspach
take pride in decorating their houses with geraniums and other red
            flowers.
This picture shows a window with bulbous, hand-blown window panes. [Next »] |
