This "Funiculare Centrale" is the fastest way to the "Castel Sant’Elmo" and the Martino Museum-Certosa, which sit on a hill. "Castel Sant’Elmo" is the ancient fortress from Roberto d’Angio times (14th century). "Certosa di San Martino" is a 17th century charterhouse. It’s Naples Baroque best sample, inside the church you’ll find some interesting frescoes by Lanfranco among other works. In the "Museo e Pinacoteca di San Martino" there’s an interesting collection of Napolitan Nativity Scenes, and some interesting art collections.
