12/22.- Naples, Umberto Gallery

We’ll now get in this Gallery, called The Umberto Gallery. It was inaugurated in the 19th century. It has the traditional Greek cross form and the glass dome. In the Gallery you’ll find many shops and some bars.

Let’s learn something about the history of this beautiful city. During the Roman domination this was an Emperor Summer holiday destination (I am sure they appreciated the beauty of its bay). In the 6th century the city became an independent duchy after being conquered by the Byzanthines.
