28/48.-Northeast Vietnam, ethnic minority girl

In the picture you can see a young girl I met in Meo Vac. It is a tradition for some of these ethnic minorities to have two of their teeth removed in order to substitute them for two golden ones. I guess it is the local cannon of beauty. Almost all the women of a certain age I found had two golden teeth.
