16/48.-Northeast Vietnam, Quy Son river

If you take one of the tourists boats, you can get to the middle of the river. You cannot cross the river, because half of it belongs to the Vietnamese. The other half is China.

The Vietnamese side looked less developed. On the Chinese side of the river I could spot some tourist facilities: bars, restaurants, even hotels.

I was told the army of both countries controlled the area. I did not see any armed soldier, though.
