In this picture you can see another Vietnamese lady showing us how to row with the feet. Most of these ladies are here to make some money with tourists. They will offer you a drink. If you say you are not thirsty, they will tell you to buy a drink for your guide. If you buy a beer to your oarsman, your local man will keep it, and give it back to the seller. They will split the earnings.

Along the river there are rice fields. If you come in the right season you will see local farmers working on their fields.
