16/25.- Vietnam, Ninh Binh, Bich Dong Pagoda, Upper temple

The Upper Temple was constructed at the foot of a limestone cliff. Many pagodas in Vietnam are built in the mountains. I guess it has something to do with the old traditional religions that considered mountains sacred places.

After visiting the pagodas, we got back to our boats. On the following pages, I will show you some of the pictures I shot on the river.
