20/50.-Hanoi, Opera House

The Hanoi Opera House is a Neoclassical building in the French Colonial District. Its construction began in 1901, its inauguration was in 1909. Its architect was inspired by the Opera Garnier, in Paris. It was here that the Viet Minh announced the take over of Hanoi from the French.

Since its recent restoration in the 1990's the opera is playing international opera and ballet shows. If you are interested in visiting the building, you will have to buy an opera ticket.
