The accommodation offer in Hanoi is quite varied. The best hotels in town are around the main lake, Hoan Kiem Lake. North of the lake lies the old French district with budget hotels. In the outskirts of the city new luxury hotels have recently opened their doors.

Some of the best hotels in Hanoi are the Metropole, the Daewoo and the Melia. Book in advance if you are coming during the high season; Summer and Chinese New Year.
