19/40.- Wat Si Chum, Sukhothai

Two interesting sites a few minutes drive north of the historical park are Wat Si Chum and Wat Phra Phai Luang. The former is kind of unusual: as we see here, the structure consists of a giant Buddha peering out through narrow opening in a, now roofless, ancient building. Very dramatic!
