12/40.- Wat Si Sawai, Sukhothai

Wat Si Sawai is relatively small complex, the main highlight of which are three Khmer-style towers. Like some other sites here, this temple was originally Hindu and switched to Buddhist. The relationship here between Hinduism and Buddhism was pretty complex, with the two religions largely co-existing for centuries.
