6/40.- Wat Mahathat, Sukhothai

The ancient city of Sukhothai is a perfect rectangle, surrounded by a network of walls and moats. Most of the main sites are within that rectangle, though as we'll see later there are few things worth seeing outside of it.

Given the number of interesting sites, and their size, it's often not too hard to find a nice spot all to yourself!
