16/30.- Phuket, Bang Tao

North of Surin Beach is the most exclusive, and expensive, area in Phuket, Bang Tao Bay. Bang Tao Beach is a long half moon shaped beach.

In Bang Tao you have some of the best hotel resorts in southeast Asia. The best area is La Laguna, a gardened complex around a lake with luxury apartments and resorts. The Laguna has its own private bars and restaurants. Part of Bang Tao beach is private, and only guests of the luxury resorts may use it.
