12/25.- Phi Phi Islands, Ko Phi Phi Don, Loh Lana Bay

Ko Phi Phi was severely affected by the 2005 tsunami. Most of its tourist infrastructure was completely destroyed. Since then the islands has recovered, hotels and resorts have been rebuilt. The effects of the tsunami are still visible in some parts of the island, as the palm trees in the picture. New alarm towers and evacuation routes have been built throughout the island.
